Hippity. Hoppity. Easter's on It's Way!

Olivia went to an Easter Egg hunt this morning.

She's a pro at finding Easter Eggs! We've been practicing for a couple of weeks now hiding eggs and letting her find them! And let me tell ya, she had her game face on this morning! She was knocking other big kids down to get to the eggs....(just kidding.) She played nice and found lots of eggs!

That's my girl!

"It's A Nice Day Today"

Earlier this week Olivia and I were playing in the backyard. She climbed into one of our Adirondack chairs, sat back, crossed her legs at her ankles, propped her arms on the armrests and said, "It's a nice day today."

I couldn't help but laugh out loud. Such an overt statement from such a little person. She cracks me up!

And today was a nice day. My fam came for lunch as an early Easter celebration and to celebrate my Daddy's birthday.

These are some pictures of Sarah, Bradley and Olivia hiding Easter eggs and playing outside.

Sarah in a full sprint.

I like this picture of Sarah with Nana in the background.

This one is my favorite. So sweet of Papa and Bradley.

I see this picture and immediately think that one day, in the very near future, Olivia will hate me because she got my hair. It will forever be a fuzzy, unruly mess.
I'm so sorry, Little Girl. All I can say is...hats. Hats will be your best friend!

Spring Has Sprung in the Dining Room

This is two before-and-afters in one!

I saw this sheet at Goodwill. It's a Laura Ashley, and it was only $3. I thought it was soooo pretty with it's wide, lace trim!!

I decided to turn it into a runner for the dining room table!

Here's the before of the table:

And the after:

With a little cutting and sewing, I got a pretty table runner. I also cut a piece of burlap, unraveled the two ends a bit and laid it on top of the white sheet. I like the contrast between the burlap and the lacy sheet!

I also added a little "spring bling" as a centerpiece!

Adding the white table runner and white plates to the table helps to brighten things up a bit and helps to break-up all the dark wood!

It's workin' for me!

Olivia Hearts Bailey

Olivia loves to play with B.

Bailey on the other hand always asks, "Do I have to play with the munchkin?"

Really, he'd rather just be left alone to lay in his grass.

Uuuuhhhh....Bailey, get out of the way!

We were loving the beautiful spring weather today!

We went to the playground. Olivia went down the "curly" slide about one-million times!

She loves it!

And then we came home and had a picnic lunch.

Please, Spring, don't go away. Pretty, pretty please??!!

Spring: Is It Here to Stay?

The weather has been such a tease.

I packed Olivia's heavy winter clothes away a couple of weeks ago, and I've had to dig her sweaters and jeans back out of boxes the last few days. It's been ccccooooolllllldddd!

I'm ready for spring to stick around!

Have you noticed all the gorgeous. Gorgeous. GORGEOUS. dogwood trees??

They are absolutely stunning! I love dogwoods in the spring. The white blooms are my favorite. And you can spot them from a mile away, too! The burst of white blooms are eye-catching against a backdrop of green! I want a yard full of dogwood trees!

I should feel my head. I must have spring fever!

Maybe that's why I decided to do this...

The decorations on the mantel were looking a little tired. So I took everything off and started over. I wish I had taken a picture of the before because it's a pretty big difference.

Here's to blue, sunny skies and 75 degree weather!
